Fabulous cooling splash that has the Island Man scent.I will sometimes rub a little on my neck before going out in the garden to work.Smell so good and cooling too.

This stuff is wonderful. Pairs well with any soap that I cant match the scent to. The menthol is pretty powerful, too powerful for me. So, what I do is buy both a non-menthol and full menthol bottle. Then, combine/mix them and pour back into bottles. Cuts menthol in half and brings it down to the perfect amount of cool down for me. I can't hang with you "menth-heads" out there. Why did it take me so long to discover stirlings witch hazels.. kicking myself for that.

I realize the review title is going to throw people off, but here goes.

When I received this product in my order, someone had placed black electrical tape over and around the lid, which took a little effort to get off. At the same time, I was only able to get enough of the tape off to unscrew the lid to pour the product.

I noticed that below the electrical tape on the lid, there was what appeared to be a flip top cap just by seeing the outline of it through the electrical tape. I assume that the cap opens and there is a small hole to pour the product out.

Of course, once I got enough tape off to unscrew the lid, I was able to pour some into my hand, but I had to be careful not to pour too much.

I assume that the cap has a much smaller opening to control the flow.

Is there a way to get a lid only shipped to me?

I have been a Customer several years now and never tried Stirlings' Witch Hazel, my mistake. I have now and it's a winner.... This Menthol version is beautiful in menthol and overall skin feel. It's never going to be missing in my arsenal of shave items again. I look forward to exploring some more of my favorite scents.....If you have not tried the Stirling witch hazels I suggest you do ..........

I did not intend to order menthol but I'm glad I did. It just make my skin feel great.

Love the menthol, but hate the smell. It’s like rubbing Robotussin on your face.

I read reviews here and at badgerandblade.com saying Stirling’s mentholated products are tops and I wanted a witch hazel and aloe splash for my skin.

And I wanted menthol. So much menthol.

This came in from Boonesville and I washed my face and applied it. First, I was really impressed with how unscented our friends at Stirling can make a bottle of witch hazel and aloe. Sorcery! Then, the menthol felt very barely there and it puzzled me (confused grunts issued forth), so I used a little more.

KABANG! Menthol found its way to my nerve endings and there was great rejoicing.

I forgot reading about the delayed reaction, but the menthol remembered me.

The witch hazel and aloe is light like a splash, but has many of the soothing aspects of a balm. The menthol in this one is spot on- very strong and enjoyable, but not so much that you grow tired of it.

It goes on mild but after a few minutes "BAM". I shaved just before going to work, walked outside (30 degrees ) and it took the cold to another level. I love that feeling, leaves face feeling smooth and clean but if your not into heavy menthol products, try one of the other awesome Stirling products.

Love the menthol, and it will definitely wake your skin up while it also soothes any irritation you may have from shaving!
