I have used this aftershave for a couple of years. It is not overpowering, and it has a pleasant, masculine fragrance. I prefer it without menthol.

I love Sandalwood but depending on the retailer it always seems to be hit or miss. The Art of Shaving seems to do it best. I love some of your other products but this one is not for me.

This scent did not disappoint. It was a surprise because it is not expensive but wears like a much more expensive aftershave. The scent lasts hours which was also a surprise. Highly recommend this Seller.

This is the worst fragrance I have ever used. I purchased this product because many shaving products use Sandalwood as a base note. I thought as a splash, I would be able to build additional fragrances on top of it, and I enjoy the Sandalwood scented products from other companies. When I first opened the bottle I immediately noticed the overpowering scent of alcohol. Overpowering! like it is fragrance in alcohol. Next, this is supposed to be a sweet variety of Sandalwood. It is not. It comes closer to sawdust than exotic wood. Once the alcohol has evaporated, it leaves behind a scent reminiscent of wood shop. I actually smell better after using my chainsaw. And it doesn't blend well with other fragrances. Some of the other products I tried from this company have been enjoyable, but this is not one of them. This is going straight to the trash bin. Wish I had read the reviews before purchasing, but the five star icon does not accurately reflect the negative reviews. Don't waste your money unless you like smelling like a saw mill, which some people obviously do.

I have purchased a few Sandalwood balms in the past from Stirling, and decided to order the splash, because I know it would be a top performer. I was right! I would put it up with Proraso Red, but I like the Stirling scent better. Lasts a good long while, manly yet natural.

I don’t usually leave reviews even though all Stirling products phenomenal, but I felt like the description for this scent wasn’t great.

It smells like a wood shop with an old man next to you trying to teach you something. And you’re like “man this fresh cut wood smells good but this dude smells like an old man. Why do all old men smell the same?”

Not my favorite scent but I’ve definitely smelt worse. And yes I had a small burning sensation like the others.

I love Sandalwoods so I was very surprised and bummed that this splash gives me a deep burn as mentioned by others. I wanted a more lasting, brighter performance, and any amount more than an extremely conservative couple drops gets me that long lasting burn.

I was a little nervous about this Sandalwood because of the reviews speaking of an over-the-top burning sensation. It does burn a little more than other aftershaves, but the burn isn't nearly as bad as I expected (maybe my old face is more leathery than most) and doesn't last long. And the payoff is worth it: I love the fragrance! It grows on me more every time I use it and I'm finding my bottle of Stirling Sandalwood is emptying out more quickly than my other aftershaves. The only Stirling fragrance I like better--and I've tried almost all of them--is Piacenza.

The fragrance is very hard to describe, but I get pleasure from smelling myself all day after putting it on (weird, I know)! If I had to put it into words, I would say it smells woody, even sappy, in a very pleasant, masculine way with the faintest hint of amaretto. This scent is a winner and I intend to buy more when what I have runs out.

Bought the soap and after shave slash, both are excellent products, love the scent.

After basking in the luxury of your Stirling Shave Soap, this is a must have! End your shave with a wonderful splash. A bit sweeter than the shave soap, which I appreciate more for the Sandalwood element that will linger long after the shave!

Unlock some other sandalwoods it doesn't have a bunch of other scents masking it completely. This one is a slightly sweet fairly strong sandalwood and its very pleasant, it lasts a decent amount of time too. The face feel is amazing too, though, most stirling afershave splashes feel great.

Really love this Sandalwood...which is maybe a bit sweeter as it is Hawaiian Sandalwood. Just fantastic and feels great on the face. Lasts a good while as I can still smell it even after lunch.

I will state right up-front. I compare all Sandalwood to TOBS. I was utterly disappointed when I received this, opened the bottle and smelled it. I get the acrid aroma of wood shavings cut with a dull circular saw blade. That burnt wood smell that doesn't smell great like a campfire. I was disappointed with the aroma when I splashed it on my face. Still same burnt aroma. I walked over to my wife and said smell this. I told her I don't like it. She said it smelled great. I was still disappointed. I finished dressing and went to work. During my drive to work, I noticed that the aroma of this aftershave really opened up about 10-15 minutes after I applied it and presented a very earthy, woody, slightly sweet aroma. It reminds me of getting wood sap on my hands when stacking firewood that has been split with an axe. It totally transformed into a fantastic scent that lasts a great part of the workday. I now realize that I like the less sweet smelling sandalwood aroma. This is a nice, manly aroma. I am now a converted fan of sandalwood that is not TOBS. Good job on this one.

I usually dont go for after shave splashes cause it irritates my skin. Ive had an issue stirling's aftershave being to strong for me but i love their sandlewood soap and balm so much that i thought i would just man up and try the aftershave again. Im so glad that I did cause i have no red skin and just a wonderful manly smell.

Ive been using stirling for two years now and ive never looked back. They have great products, customer service and are always improving. Keep up the great work Rod and Mandy.

Nice aftershave,scent reminds me of being in a lumber yard with that fresh cut wood smell all around me.Nothing to harsh on the nose just a nice clean wood smell.

I was sent a sample upon request with my order of bath soaps. This is the first Sandalwood that has given me the scent I've been seeking. Most are too sweet or have some off-putting extras. This is straight-up old-school sandalwood. I purchased the shave soap, balm and splash as I already have the bath soap. Great set, highly recommended.

This is my favorite sandalwood. Shaved and showered after the gym today, my wife loved it, and I fell asleep in my chair for a bit. Woke up just basking in awesome clean woody smell. Has staying power, but mellow. Great AS!

This is your go-to spas for an all day long smell of the Woodsy - Sweet smell of Hawaiian sandalwood! First time i used it when I passed by my pregnant wife she said the baby kicked! The next day I had to tell a coworker to back up or my wife would kill her for smelling me!

Also note the killer glycerin and aloe one-two combination that keeps skin soft and Razor Bump free all day! Love it!
