The mountain man scent is very pleasent and lasts from morning until late afternoon.

Works great as a beard oil. Good amount of fragrance.

Fells great and improves my shave

Around 10 years ago I ordered a bunch of Creed samples to find my favorites. Favorite number 2 was Silver Mountain Water. I never bought the Creed bottles, but I had to try these Stirling homages when I discovered them. And wow do they smell similar. Smell is strongly associated with memory and sniffing this bottle took me right back to those samples from 10 years ago.

As for the scent itself, it opens _sharp_. At first it's like being stabbed in the nostrils by a really cold knife. Eventually (pretty quickly actually) the icy metallicness recedes and you get left with a very fresh almost-fruitiness that lightens as the day goes on. The opening can be a little alienating, but it doesn't last long and the dry down is very non-offensive. It's a very unisex kind of scent and gets very fruity/flowery on the tail end so if you're looking for something that screams "MANLY" this isn't it.

As a beard oil, it's very good. It's very similar to most argan and jojoba based beard oils. Non-greasy, spreads well, conditions well. I used to use Honest Amish and this reminds me of that, but a little thicker and with better and more varied fragrances.

Just a fantastic scent, not too strong but I get compliments all the time on the scent. And the oil is great. Smoothes my beard well, and doesn't leave a nasty residue feel. Can't beat it!
