It's a little shy

This is a nice, subtle, clean scent. Another reviewer called it "versatile", and I'd agree. It's not a powerhouse fragrance that's going to get noticed or get you many compliments from across the room, but it's also never going to cause issues. It's a light scent that doesn't stick around all day, which is fine and normal for an EdT and is also true for Bleu de Chanel. Marine/blue notes meets Dove soap.

Great scent

Reminds me of Cool Water, have had numerous comments on how good it smells. It puts me on a beach somewhere with palm trees and cold beers.

I honestly prefer this to Bleu de Chanel but the two scents are very close. It's also a good match to the other Deep Blue Sea products like the shave soap and aftershave balm.

Very wearable fragrance

Deep Blue Sea is a very wearable, versatile scent—-good for the office, formal events, or for lounging on a Saturday morning.
True to Stirling’s description, DBS is a complex fragrance. I find it difficult to describe. It opens with an almost-marine, aquatic, just-out-of-the shower feel, but there are also woodsy notes which come to the fore as the scent dries down. There is an intoxicating quality about the fragrance. I’ve never smelled Bleu de Chanel but if Deep Blue Sea resembles it, I can well understand its popularity.
DBS has great projection and good staying power. I find that two sprays provide a solid ‘fragrance cloud’ for 3-4 hours. After that, the scent hangs around in a weaker but still apparent state, for even longer.
In a short time Deep Blue Sea has become one of my favorite fragrances and it could become one of yours, also.
